Melody Night, world-famous princess of country music, doesn’t exist. Her real name is Cassie St. James, and she desperately needs a break from the spotlight. When a friend suggests she hide out in the small town of Pine Grove, Cassie leaves Nashville, hops on a plane back home to England, and changes her appearance. Living a normal life is harder than she expected, but after a messy beginning, things start looking up. For the first time, Cassie has a chance at real friends, maybe even love.

Austin Bowman needs to focus on the grand reopening of his family’s bar, not the woman who just destroyed his beer garden. When his mother insists he give Cassie a job so she can work off the cost of repairs, he knows it’s a bad idea. Cassie’s young, reckless, and only in town for the summer. Plus, it’s obvious she’s hiding something. Austin’s determined to avoid her as much as possible, but then the band booked for the reopening cancels last-minute and Cassie steps up to save the night.

No longer at odds, Austin and Cassie find it increasingly difficult to resist each other. Eventually their chemistry reaches a crescendo. But what will happen when Cassie’s secret comes out?
